Stability of Pareto optimal allocation of land reclamation by multistage decision-based multipheromone ant colony optimization

چکیده
The assignment of multiobjective human resources is a very important phase of the decisionmaking process, especially with respect to research and development projects where performance strongly depends on human resources capabilities. Unfortunately, the input data or related parameters are frequently imprecise / fuzzy owing to incomplete or unobtainable information, which can be represented as a fuzzy numbers. This paper presents a multiobjective multipheromone ant colony optimization approach (MM-ACO) with an application in fuzzy multiobjective human resource allocation problem. Our approach has two characteristic features. Firstly, a set of nondominated solutions is obtained by exploring the optimal Pareto frontier using differentα cut level and subsequently, based on the definition of Pareto stability, the Pareto frontier may be reduced to manageable sizes (i.e., Stable Pareto optimal solutions) where in a practical sense only Pareto optimal solutions that are stable are of interest, since there are always uncertainties associated with the efficiency data. Furthermore, we provided an example of optimum utilization of human resources in reclamation of derelict land in Toshka-Egypt.

متن کاملOptimal Distributed Generation (DG) Allocation in Distribution Networks using an Improved Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) Algorithm
Abstract: The development of distributed generation (DGs) units in recent years have created challenges in the operation of power grids, especially distribution networks. One of these issues is the optimal allocation (location and capacity) of these units in distribution networks. In this thesis, a method based on the improved ant colony optimization algorithm is presented to solve the problem ...

In this paper, a multi-objective reconfiguration problem has been solved simultaneously by a modified ant colony optimization algorithm. Two objective functions, real power loss and energy not supplied index (ENS), were utilized. Multi-objective modified ant colony optimization algorithm has been generated by adding non-dominated sorting technique and changing the pheromone updating rule of ori...
متن کاملOPTIMIZATION OF TREE-STRUCTURED GAS DISTRIBUTION NETWORK USING ANT COLONY OPTIMIZATION: A CASE STUDY
An Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm is proposed for optimal tree-structured natural gas distribution network. Design of pipelines, facilities, and equipment systems are necessary tasks to configure an optimal natural gas network. A mixed integer programming model is formulated to minimize the total cost in the network. The aim is to optimize pipe diameter sizes so that the location-alloc...
متن کاملFORCED WATER MAIN DESIGN MIXED ANT COLONY OPTIMIZATION
Most real world engineering design problems, such as cross-country water mains, include combinations of continuous, discrete, and binary value decision variables. Very often, the binary decision variables associate with the presence and/or absence of some nominated alternatives or project’s components. This study extends an existing continuous Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) algorithm to simultan...
